Dear D.H. Conley Families,

D.H. Conley High School will be closed for all students, with an optional workday in place for staff, on Thursday and Friday, February 5-6. This decision has been made due to the imminent threat of continued hazardous road conditions across the district's transportation area as a result of a forecasted approach of another winter weather system.

This decision was made out of an abundance of caution, based on the latest briefing from the National Weather Service and in consultation with Pitt County Emergency Management. While main routes have been serviced, many of the secondary roads in our county remain unsafe for our buses and teenage drivers. The safety of our students and staff is always our primary concern.

Please note the following important information:

• PCC Dual-Enrolled Students: Students enrolled in classes at Pitt Community College should check directly with their instructors, as college classes and assignments may not be affected by our district closure. Students should also monitor the PCC website for any campus-specific updates.
